Thrifty school-formal theme as students borrow, swap and op shop for outfits in name of sustainable fashion


Can you imagine carrying the exact same go well with your dad wore for his 21st birthday to your university formal?  

In regional Victoria, some students have borrowed, swapped and op-shopped to make a statement about fast fashion and local climate improve.

After lacking out on numerous school-age rites of passage through the pandemic, just one college put on a dance with a difference. 

12 months 11 Emmanuel University learners trawled via op outlets, their parents’ and grandparents’ wardrobes, and swapped outfits for their initially-ever Recycled Dance. 

The thrifty topic invented by the college students was also about tackling rapidly style, a rising menace to the environment.
